The Lions Club is the largest international service organization in the world and has been in existence since 1917. It continues as a fund raising entity to help the vision and hearing impaired. Helen Keller challenged the Lions to become “knights of the blind in a crusade against darkness.” The Bartlett Lions Club supports Lions Club International, which has begun a campaign to eliminate blindness around the world. In addition, on the local level, the Bartlett Lions provides eye exams and glasses for children and their families who cannot afford them. We also provide hearing screenings and hearing aids, free of charge. Each year we sponsor numerous hearing or sight impaired children's attendence at the specialized Camp Lions. Diabetes, a disease often associated with vision problems, is also a special cause for the Lions. Other important agencies benefit from Lions’ fund-raising efforts, such as Hanover and Wayne Township Food Pantries, Horizons for the Blind, the Deicke Center, and the Bartlett Learning Center. Your sponsorship of this special event will allow us to continue to serve those less fortunate.  All contributions are 100% tax deductable as the Bartlett Lions Charities is a 501C3 corporation.
