Congratulations to our 2007 Scholarship Winner:  Samantha Williams!

Bartlett Lions Scholarship

The Bartlett Lions is a Community Service Organization. We share the major goal
of all Lions Clubs in the elimination of all preventable forms of blindness. This is done
through education, examinations and support of research. We also provide assistance
to those in need of eyeglasses, hearing exams and hearing aids.

The Bartlett Lions has established a $1,000 scholarship to be paid to an educational
institution, including a trade or vocational school, on behalf of the high school age
student who best meets the selection criteria shown below.

Selection Criteria

1.  The candidate must be an area resident.
2.  Priority will be given to a candidate who is hearing or vision impaired, or who is
pursuing a career in the care of vision or hearing-impaired people. If no such candidate
can be found, then a candidate who has shown a high level of community service will
     be considered.
3.  Economic need of the candidate shall be considered in the case where more than one
     candidate qualified for the scholarship.
