The Bartlett Lions Club is celebrating over 68 years of service and currently has over 70 men and women members. We are an active group in the Bartlett community. You've probably seen us out and about on Candy Day, at the Independence Day Parade, Golf Outing or maybe you've enjoyed attending one of our popular all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts. We have a long tradition of supporting many social and public service programs throughout the community. If you're interested in learning more about the Bartlett Lions Club, please contact us (see bottom of this page), or if you're attending one of our activities, feel free to ask a member.
About the Lions
The Lions Club International is the largest and most effective community service organization in the world. We have over 1.4 million members in more than 46,000 clubs in roughly 193 countries and areas of the world. Our motto best describes our mission: "We Serve". Lions Club International is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to helping people in need, in both the local community as well as throughout the world. At present, our major international service commitment is SightFirst: Lions Conquering Blindness, which has an aim to eliminate preventable and reversible blindness around the world.
Our Objectives
To Create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world. To Promote the principles of good government and good citizenship. To take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community. To Unite the clubs in bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding. To Provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided, however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by the club members. To Encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors.
